Have amended the Teams date and will follow up with the EuropeIndiaGateway folk for more details.  As for WACS, the whole project has gone silent since its announcement.  I don&#039;t think this means that nothing is happening, just that it is a traditional telco project where everything happens behind closed doors.</description>

Thanks.  Do you by any chance have maps (of any quality) related to the LION or Maroc Telecom cables?  Uhurunet has now been folded into the WACS cable from what I understand.

this is great - unfortunately i have seen it just after presenting a paper on Africa submarine cables here in Dakar an ISOC event.  You may consider adding in the map other fibres eg LION by  france telecom in Indian ocean, West Africa Festoon System, Maroc Telecom  network to  Gabon  and UhuruNet
