		<description>I totally agree, all the business planning in the world is worth less than one prototype in the field.  These days I also tend to design the engineering projects around this rule - i.e. work out ways to short circuit development and get the product into the field ASAP.
You can also put this rule in a loop, i.e. field experience -&gt; tweak design -&gt; back into field -&gt; field experience -&gt; tweak design.  That is what we are doing with the Village Telco, using the team&#039;s business, field, and technical experience to synthesise our next iteration of a viable Telco system.
